    Julian Death March

This last October we announced our final Julian Death March to be put on by R&B Bicycle Club. Since then we have had inquiries into other people taking over the event.
We are pleased to announce that Race Promoter Sean Burke will be running future events. He brings a history of event promotion, youth and energy to grow the event. I have done numerous mountain bike races and events over the years and was lucky enough to do the whole enchilada in 2012. It was one of my favorite events ever and I am glad the tradition will carry on.
Hopefully I will see several past years participants alongside as I toe the line myself next year! I would like to become the oldest finisher ever.
Once Sean get everything up and running I will update this thread.

I am so happy to read this, work related business prevented me from joining the "last" JDM.

Now I still get to ride it.

    Thanks richwolf.

Great memories. Rode it several times in the 90s and have always wanted to do it again, so I'm glad it will still be around. Putting it on calendar now for next year. Too bad that I missed the last March under your tenure, Rich. Great event--and Oriflame and Dudley's date bread will forever be part of my memories.

By the way, is there a trail going down from Julian to Banner? I was in Julian a couple of years ago and tried to find it, but ended up taking the road down.

Finally, can you send me a map of the Death March route? Email is rolson6432@hotmail.com. Many thanks for putting on such a great event for all these years.
