Joshua Tree / Palm Springs Trails?

Does anyone have a favorite trail/ area?
As far as I know, the "California Riding and Hiking Trail" is still mostly closed to biking (besides the first 7 miles). Is this still true?
    Thanks.

The Palm Canyon shuttle is fun. The Goat Trails are good for a short ride and Art Smith is nice for a long ride.
Buy a bell, help the trails....
