I noticed Southridge was on fire yesterday...

My view was east to west, and 4500' higher so I don't know if the fire reached the DH course. Anyone in the hood got the scoop?

Firefighters gain control of two small Southern California
    Eds: PMs.

FONTANA, Calif. (AP) Firefighters gained control of a
wildfire Monday that burned 125 acres near a regional park,
    authorities said.

The fire, burning near Martin Tudor Jurupa Hills Regional
Park, started about 1:20 p.m. Sunday, said Assistant San
Bernardino County Fire Marshall Mike Horton. The blaze
stretched across about 20 acres when firefighters arrived, but
it quickly spread in the dry brush and chaparral.

More than 250 firefighters battled the blaze in the early
going, but by Monday morning the crew had been cut to about 50,
    Horton said.

No homes were damaged and no one was evacuated.

    Two firefighters were slightly injured.

Horton said the fire was 90 percent contained, which means
most of the perimeter of the blaze was under control.

Horton said the cause of the fire was suspicious.

Meanwhile, firefighters said they had contained a wildfire
sparked by a fiery car wreck in Angeles National Forest on

The fire scorched 25 acres of brush, said Stanton Florea, a
spokesman for the U.S. Forest Service.

High humidity in the Angeles National Forest helped the 240
firefighters who responded to the scene.
