    Yes some species do. According to this link there are 14 species in North America, 8 of which are a native species. And four of those can squirt blood from their eye lids as a deterrent from a predator.

    I used to see those all over the place.....now its kinda rare.

    I think they are so cool....easy to catch too.

    Saw one at Vail Lake on Sat.....wanted to catch it but didn't want to lose my race spot. :d

    One ran right between my wheels on Sycamore Canyon and then I saw another a couple of days later not far from there. I think the little guy is getting used to being handled by goaters.

    I love those things. Used to round up them up as a kid. I feel sorry for these ones, considering the stench they must have endured sitting in the palm of your rotten smelling gloves....
