HELP - Quick question re: SART

we're heading up to big bear tonight but if it continues to rain, we may scrap the lifted rides. i'm thinking of trying out SART as an alternative. googling brings up all kinds of unrelated chatter and reviews.

my question is: where do we access the trail and how do we get to the trailhead for a loop or out and back ride? we will have the entire day to kill. any post ride restaurant recommendations?

Some the pics I've seen of SART in the exposed areas remind me a lot of riding in the Chantry Flats area. Be careful!

SART was amazing on Sunday. Only passed 6 other riders and 1 hiker. The downhill from the post office was amazing in some parts, and the view was beautiful on the way up to South Fork. Temp felt like it was in the mid-70s, not humid, with a cool and gentle breeze. My legs are finally starting to feel better after that trip. Such conditions made it extremely memorable.

So you did trail all the way out and back?
