    Guns at Daley Ranch

Tuesday evening I went for a ride at Daley Ranch between 7 pm - 8:30. As I was finishing up my ride I can up on three guys (looked like mexican gang bangers) that were standing around in the bushes, one of which had a handgun ( just north of the Ranch House). I didn't hang around to ask questions, but as I was riding back to the car I heard several gun shots.

Anyone else have a similiar experience?

This is in addition to a lot of wierd things I saw that evening like, the 2 white guys hiking on steep singletrack in flipflops carrying a five gallon water bottle; the wierd middle-aged white guy that was following a single woman (no they were not together because I stopped and asked her the second time I saw her and the wierd guy was still behind her about 50 yards back).

Its been 5 years since I've ridden Daley's, is this stuff now normal?

BTW, the trail was in really good shape!

No that is not normal. I ride there about once a week and I have never had any problems. I live just down the hill and there are alot of gang banger wannabes around here though so it doesn't suprise me. I have had people follow me from the parking lot at lake hodges though. I can only assume they want to steal my bike.

No, but if the mexican gang bangers were to hook up with the flipflop fellas this is exactly what they would have looked like.

Report the lowlifes to the cops. And pack your own heat.

You should have called the rangers or cops

2 or 3 years ago i met a freaked out jogger at the ranch house. Someone had tried to pull her into the bushes and she wanted an escort down to her car. I was waiting for a group to catch up to me and was going to help her but she was so freaked that she just took off running. Half my group went looking for the guy and other half for her. Didn't find either person and she didn't report it to the rangers.
