Good wheel builders in San Diego area?

I'm upgrading to disc brakes and need to get a new wheelset built up. I have CK ISO disc hubs already. Any recommendations on a good shop to build the wheels in the San Diego area?

Blacksmith Wheels, or Pacific Coast Cycles.

Those are really the only two in town, as far as I am concerned. Sure, a few others claim to make good wheels, but those two are by far the best.

I have a lot of time on wheels made by Blacksmith

my single speed wheels are five years old now. They are disc wheels, 28 hole front and rear with 15/16 guage spokes. Paul hubs, 517 rims. I've been thinking about having them trued (for the first time ever) now that I have my bike torn down for paint.

The "Blacksmith" is Earl Ball, and I've been having MTB wheels built by Earl for a long time. The wheels on my singlespeed are ten years old, and remain excellent. Maybe this shop is a secret, because they do no advertisement: 858-490-5303 is the number for Blacksmith/Rose Canyon Cycle Service.

High end roadie stuff, Moots road, 'cross and MTB, Maverick.

    Thanks for the suggestions

Talked to Chuck at Pacific Coast Cycles today and am having him build me up a set of wheels.

    Speed Dream

Try Dave Thomas from Speed Dream wheels.( http://www.speeddream.com/ ) He is one of the best builders in the country in my opinion. I think he is located in AZ and can have the best set of custom wheels you will ever ride sitting at your doorstep within a few days after you place your order.
