    Good singletrack near oceanside

Hey all, im in oceanside and living the the sea level riding here. I was treated to a great ride at lake caleveras yesterday and am wondering where would be another good singletrack ride for tomorrow.

I've read mt bike bills blog and found elfin forest, lake hodges, daley ranch that all are within 40 min of oceanside. So, in your opinion, if you had to chose just one, what would it be? REALLY would rather have most of the trail be singletrack instead of fire roads. Climbing w some tech is great. I'm an intermediate rider w a FS 29er.

Should I stick with lake caleveras or head to a"better" trail?

Any must ride trails close by?

    Thanks for any help!

Nothing MUST ride that close. All those rides are good. La Costa is closest and really fun too. If you are visitng and ahve a car make the road trip to Noble or San Juan Trail. It would be rough to be in S Cal and miss those.
Don't be the 13th inch. Keep single track single!

AS DarkStar posted, take the one hour drive from O'side to San Juan Trail.

+1 for close and quick. Probably only 15 min to Christianitos exit and you can ride from the State Park campground.

I would imagine there is a lot of Calavera you did not ride, how many canyons south from the lake did you climb in and out of?
Ride Bikes, Drink Craft Beer, Repeat.
