    Flightline first-timer...Wow!

I was just down from Santa Cruz this past weekend and rode Flighline with a friend of mine. Holy Crap! I had no idea San Diego had trails like that. We left from the skate park parking lot and went left down the singletrack. I seriously ate crap like three times within the first five minutes. I'm not talking about falling down, I'm talking falling off the trail and down the hill. Those switchbacks are the tightest things I've ever seen. If you can clean all those switchbacks, you have serious skills. I'm 6'2" and was almost beheaded several times. Yes, I read down the page about the little controversy you all are having. If you can't ride it, get off your bike and walk it...like I did...25 times. I've never walked so much and had so much fun doing it and I am not a beginner. Awesome trail. Thanks to the builder. Don't change a thing.

Where is Flightline? I hit my head recently on a low branch and tumble down a narrow exposed singletract. So my memory is...what were talking about again? Oh yeah that place where someone has a chicken wire fetish.

Flightline is closer to Carlsbad near the airport(hence: flightline). I havnt ridden here in 2 years, I used to park by the WasteManagement plant. Wheres the best place to park now?

Is it still possilbe to connect Flightline to Calaveras??

    ??

If someone finds this place, let me know.
One guy mentioned that it was in Orange County, just north of Camp Pendleton.

As far as I know, Flightline is nowhere near Escondido or the 15.

Yes it is still possible and is now WAY easier thanks to the builder of a beautiful new trail and bridge over in that canyon (dawson). just look around and if you are coming from calaveras, once you get into flightline take only left turns, you will find youself on a beautiful trail called Dawson.
