    DH in SoCal

Does anyone know any information about Eric Carter putting a new Down Hill track in Temecula in the Vail Lake area? I have heard only a little bit of information but nothing about when it is to open and any specifics. I saw some pics of his team taking a ride down one run but I do not think the park is open yet. This would be great for the area now that none of the local areas have good DH tracks.

Hang Tight you guys Its coming

The DH runs out at Vail are a work in progress. One of the trails is done but everything is real powdery right now. I will shoot out some pics tonight of the trails!

When will Mudd and his group be invited out there?

It might be a good idea to wait to open up the area to the public until after the next rainy season helps to "hardpack" the trails, otherwise it'll be "powder city".

    Cool-blue Rhythm Hey Mudd

You guys will have to wait for EC and the owner of Vail To figure out a grand opening for the trails. Right now the trails are super sandy and soft. Really not even rideable in most spots. But they will be super fun when the rains and time hit em'. I took a couple of photos yesterday. But nothing worth writing home about. I am busy working on some other trails for the upcoming "12 Hours of Temecula" and the " SoCal Bike Festival". I have to switch computers and change the pics sizes. Hang tight!

Here are some pics of the A line trail in the valley and you can see the Dh Trail Coming down the steep side. I know the steep side DH pics arent very detailed but it shows the terrain and the slope.

Without saying to much... There are two other DH/Freeride parks that are going to possibly be built in So Cal. When the time is right everyone will know.

or maybe they'll install lights for nightrides. That would be cool......

Great! Please get together with Taffy15. He is the "trail guru" here in San Diego County. I understand he is trying to get some Whistler folks down here to help with other projects. Would be great to "bootstrap" those guys as well! Whistler influence, would be a great "selling point" here. A skills park would be a great addition!

Yeah whatever, it gets hot in the summer. But in the fall, winter, & spring it's perfect. No snow, hardley any rain. Rain will actually help.

    Shuttle Service

When the time comes there will be a shuttle service to the top. There are several access roads to be used. The roads have to be serviced and maintained first to be safe.
