Chilao CG is a great place to ride. Ride around the crazy eight, or simply ride around to the top of Mt. Hillyer then down Silver Moccasin trail. This ride is pretty technical. Just be aware of the Poodledog. That little bastard bites.
I was up there a couple of weeks ago and the open trails were in great shape although pretty dusty like everything else is. The single track descending from Vetter is still closed so if you want to do the "Three Peaks" ride the Vetter portion will be an out and back on mostly pavement. As mentioned, watch out for the Poodle dog brush, I had a bit hit my pinky finger and it was swelled up for a couple of days, and I'm immune to poison oak. There's quite a bit in the burn area south of Chilao but as long as you stay on trail you'll be fine.
