Just got back from tearing it up out there. I got there early to beat the heat and I was surprized/pleased with the lack of trail users. Perfect riding temp. A few fallen Oaks to watch out for up on the China Flats plateau. Ran over a squirrel on the ST up there! Must have seen at least 50-60 Cottontails, and about that many Squirrels. Major flying bug hatch, do not ride with your mouth open! Lots of overgrowth. Didn't see any PO. No snakes, darn! A few lizards. One tiny puddle to bunny hop on the way back down the ST from the overlook and of course, the perpetual Sulpher creek mud crossing at the "bees" sign.
My usual loop is up the fireroad via residentual area to China Flats, loop around the ST up there, back down the fireroad to the overlook junction and then back down the ST and out.
Probably the best ride of the year for me so far....
