    Changes to Bommer Canyon

I just rode Bommer Canyon this weekend and the powers that be made some serious changes. They eliminated all the ruts then they graded the course so when you descend you have three opportunities to catch some major air say 8-10 feet.

In the process of grading the route they also made it harder to pedal due to all the dirt lying around.

However if you have the kills and bike it looks Bommer has become a true gravity course with 3 opportunities to catch big air.

Bommer is huge ... what trails are you talking about? I rode it during the last open access day and did not notice any major changes.

He is referring to the descent from the baseball diamond to the Bommer parking lot. I was expecting more ruts than usual due to the season, so I went easy. But, the guy in front of me was repeatedly airborne the whole way down.

Yes. It is a brutal climb that I enjoy but it irks me and all the hikers when riders feel the need to bomb down it. Camarillo and Stagecoach are parallel to it. Another one is the BVD decent at laguna coast. Why do idiots feel the need to climb up it? So dangerous
