    Cannell Plunge

Does anyone know if the cannell ride from sherman pass to the plunge is still good to go?

I had some friends just get back from the fat tire festival they just had up there. From what I heard they hit some mud up top but was epic the rest of the way down. But we've got another storm coming in I think. Never been but looks way fun

I want to head up there Friday in the pre-morning hours for the weekend...anyone up for going? I'll be towing my TH so I'll have room for 4-5 peeps. I don't want to go up there and ride alone.

Looks like an awesome trail from what I've read. I'm envious! Maybe next season for me.

    I understand that.
Given the weather down around 3Kft I'd expect it to be a bit chilly up there.

    snow

The trail is still open but I heard there was some snow at the top. I guess the first few miles have several inches of snow on them. The south facing stuff might melt off but I'm not sure the North facing stuff will.

    That's about what I expected.
I was hearing the same thing about some other areas.

According to a guy on 'another' MTB site, this is what it looked like last weekend.

The reports are real good for this weekend - we're headed up there.

That was my group last weekend on Saturday. It was quite the adventure with snow from the pass all the way to Big Meadow. Once we were south of Big Meadow the snow got substantially thinner. We got snowed on around Mosquito meadow for about ten minutes, pretty wet and heavy at times. By the time we reached Big Meadow the sun had broken through and it was great.
