Big Bear Today...a ghost town, bike-wise
Was up at big Bear Saturday Sunday and now. Pretty dead, biker-wise. Unless you count bike rental ppl riding around in town, some on the fire roads. Anyways the weather was nice. Going home in an hour.

the rain probably scared some people off, I was there on Friday and we got dumped on, we had to go back to the cabin to dry our gear before we went out for the afternoon

Thats funny I was up there this weekend and the chairlifts on Sunday were about a 30-40 minute wait

Was lucky and had Friday off. Rained solid from ~10 to 1; temps were decent and no lightening so we kept riding. Rode directly to the lift chair after every run. The rain kept the dust down and the trails nice and tacky. Good stuff!

I've seen that bike before!

ok my bad---didn't do any lifts, I rode to the top after every ST ride down---Grandview (pictured), one of the new XC trails and Upper Fall Line. The place is really nice now.
I am battling to rid type II diabetes so chair lifting defeats the purpose of eating carbs and the occasional glass of wine, so burning calories is on my agenda.

No shame in that. 3 of my 4 bikes make yours look like a youngster, and they still ride just fine.
