BEEN HOT ENOUGH? How about racing in 60-70 degrees without leaving the state?

12 HOURS OF HUMBOLDT 6 HOURS OF HUMBOLDT, SATURDAY, AUGUST 10, ARCATA, CA. Been hot enough for ya? Yeah, riding when it's 90 or 100 degrees is harsh. So how about coming to the 12 Hours of Humboldt or the 6 Hours of Humboldt mountain bike endurance event on August 10 where if it's a "hot day" it just might reach 70 degrees? The 8.7 mile course is in Redwood Park and the Arcata Community Forest and is almost entirely under the shade of giant redwood trees.
The 12 Hours of Humboldt goes from 8am to 8pm (no lights needed!) and is open to solos and teams of 2 riders or 3 & 4 riders.
The 6 Hours of Humoldt goes from 8am to 2pm and is open to solos and teams of 2 riders.

Those trails look beautiful. So beautiful that I don't think I could race on them....way too much mind-blowing scenic beauty to hurry through there. Just amazing.

They are beautiful, and they'd be a blast to race on. My in-laws live in Arcata and I ride up in the Community Forest every chance I get when I'm there. I need to time our trip up there next year to do the 12 hour.
