    bear creek trail gps

just wondering if anyone has the GPS "track/route" for the Bear Creek trail near Camp Nelson?

I rode this trail a good number of years ago, and feel as if I could do it again without a GPS, but would feel much better having the GPS route as a back-up.

Feel free to PM if you prefer.

Contact Jfsh. He has worked on, built, and ridden most if not all of the trail in the area.

Tep, I don't have a GPS track but I can tell you that the turn off for the trail is much better marked than it used to be. As long as you start going up the Summit trail from Quaking Aspen it is hard to miss it. I think you will be fine.

PM me with your E-mail address. I got a Garmin file from riding bear creek last summer. Route finding was a bit difficult. The trail sign was down and we completely missed the turn off of Summit trail for bear creek. Things aren't terribly well marked there. You have to look for orange fluorescent ribbons tied to a tree at the turn off. The start of bear creek doesn't even look like a trail at all until you're about 100 yards down it.

This GPS route on Geoladders appears to follow Summit trail to Bear Creek, although it's labeled as Summit creek trail.
