    Balboa Park Trails

Anyone ride the Balboa Park trails in SD? I'm thinking of going to check them out tomorrow, but i don't know how good they are.

    nothing spectacular

but for an after work ride its perfect. nice scenery riding under the trees in the canyons on a hot day is ideal , nothing too tough.
    Humble self-proclaimed nothing.

^ That is no f*cking joke man, for real. I think they're harmless for the most part, but it's still good to at least be aware of your surroundings there. After sunset though, well, you should get by now.

I ride them Thursday nights with a bunch of single speeders. We go from canyon to canyon and start a few miles away. I think five miles must be road. Usually about an hour of riding.
It is much better at night. All you can really see is the trail, not much of the urban sprawl.
It is pretty funny when you round a corner a two guys jump up from the bushes, one of them coughing/gagging. Thank goodness we are zipping through there too fast to have actually caught the act on the helmet cam.
