    Backbone loop from Will Rogers?

    1) Starting at Will Rogers, can anyone explain what legal trails can used to form a loop with Backbone? Or, do people climb Backbone and turn around and descend it? Is that possible to do on the weekend?

    2) Are there any mtb trails starting at Temescal Gateway Park?

    3) Are there any loops that start and finish at Michael Lane (Trailer Canyon Fire Rd.)?

    Thanks.

You can do a loop with Will Rogers using Sullivan Canyon if you don't mind riding along Sunset Blvd for a spell. Park at Sullivan Canyon, climb the fireroad, turn left on Dirt Mulholland, hit Farmers/Bent Arrow ST, get back onto to Dirt Mully, jump onto Bent Arrow#2 then back onto Dirt Mully, take that to The Hub and jump onto Will Rogers ST from there. Nice long downhill blast to the bottom, then take Sunset Blvd back to where you parked you car.

The easiest WR BB loop is to start at Amalfi/Capri, climb Sulliven Ridge, Left on Mulholland to the Hub, Hub to BB entrance, down BB to WR,

    Negative on Temescal

Michael Lane is a great place to start but mostly out and backs or a "lollipop" loop. You can get to the BB trail quickly but have to loop back on the road.

Do you live up in the Highlands?

You can also cut back to the Canyon via JDrop and Squirrel Cage to avoid the road riding but you miss the last few miles of Backbone.
