    12 Hours of OC?

Who raced in the 12 Hours of OC?

I wish I did. Unfortunately I was very ill with the flu for almost two weeks and thought I couldn't get in the training to participate in the race. I was able, however, to pit for my brother and offer support to others. It was really hard to just stand on the sidelines so I managed to get on the course for a couple of laps and take several pictures. I've posted the pics here:

    Does the link work?

I hope you can find some pictures you like and download them free. I used Webshots; I haven't posted pictures before so I don't know how well this will work. I really just want to make it free since I'm not a photographer.

If it doesn't work, please give me some suggestions.

    Enjoy

We raced out there on the Switchback Cyclery corporate team. We all had a great time out there. Tough.....but very fun course. Damn, I wish the Warrior's Trail was about 3 or 4 miles longer.

We also had a 10 year old turn out a 1:14 lap time.

We were all out there to just have a fun time........and that we did. The promoters did a great job with the race, can't wait til the next one.

SScheetz: Thanks for the pics......my wife will be totally stoked.

    How was it going solo?

I stopped by to check out the festivities and just missed you as you were off on your fourth lap, I think. I did get a chance to meet Impy...very nice person, by the way.

Would you do it solo again?

Why are you sticking your tongue out at the chicken on your handlebars?! Was he talking smack?

Nice pictures, scheetz. Your audience should know how you got them. I came up on the sharp turn to descend the single track and saw a bicycle in the bushes down below. Then I saw a helmet with a head in it, nearby. I was considering whether or not to get help and I hear it say "It's ok - I've got a camera here". It sure the heck looked like you had crashed! Brave soul, his head was within a few inches of that very tasty but steep singletrack!

Hey, I remember you. That's why I kept the helmet on.

My favorite shot is the one with the guy on the pink SS with his tongue sticking out. Very cool, who is that? Someone else crashed just after that spot, said he was ok but groaned for quite a long time.
