The word for the day is: Visibility

I was up on Skyline blvd after Skeggs and the world looked a little different. I could see about 100 miles

Get up there. Take a photo. Ride a trail.

Skeggs right now is good. Ridiculously good.

photos are from Highway 35 going towards 92. I was seeing strange things like the globe on Half Moon Bay. From 101 in Foster City, I could see the cube building in Mt. Madonna, SJ.

Photos are from an iphone and most of them are cropped.

To say that Skeggs is good today is an egregious understatement. I was there at 8:30 am and got too hot so I rode in a t-shirt.

Sierra Morena has some soft spots but my bike came back cleaner that when it came in. Lunch was swell.

What bike rack are you using? I like how it has the functionality of a trailer hitch style, but doesn't require a hitch.

I got that bike yesterday for my boss. We mounted it wrong yesterday in this video but here's some preliminary info.

    Sunrise

Sunrise this AM from Hawk Hill in Marin Headlands. Beautiful, balmy morning. Could see forever. Too bad I was on the road bike and had to head to work.

    Visibility today was excellent!

I could see from Folsom Puddle all the way to the snow capped Swiss Alps!

On my way to the Alps, I rode Moab slickrock:

    Stopped at Mono Lake:

Got bogged down in the Sahara Desert sand:

Took a break at Lake Tahoe:

    Landed on Mars briefly:

    And rode through Julian:

Never made it to the snow

My kids school (where I work) has the week off, so today was a kid day while my wife rides. We hiked some of the trails I usually ride-- to the frog pond near Cobblestone trail at Annadel. 79 degrees in February.

The movie and gps strava were done by the Iphone 4s at the same time!!!

This is the greatest biking accessory ever. In addition it did the following:

    - instant messaged my boss saying I was in a meeting.
    - opened and approved a powerpoint proposal email.

    - took a few photos
    - found me burrito on the way back to the office as I asked Siri for a burrito and Pliny.
    - I viewed my ride videos while in the car with the soundtrack playing on the car speakers through Bluetooth.
    - I could have posted live from the trail too but that's too geeky

My early morning ride today up Montebello Rd to the top of Black Mtn. Epic views all around. I had a clear view of San Francisco and Oakland.

Rode to the top of MT St. Helena this morning, the view over looking Napa/Sonoma/Lake Counties are awesome. Pics do this no justice what so ever. Anyhow the road climbs 1500' and is all uphill for 5mi. Started before sunrise this morning and then headed to work. Awesome way to begin my friday

Last pic is looking over the Napa Valley towards Mt Diablo I believe.

My eyes might be fooling me, but I swear that looks to be more than 1500 feet. It looks like 1900-2000. May be its the valley that's throwing me off.

The Highway 29 pass over MT St Helena is around 2500' and you leave from there. The peak is around 4,000' Basically you are on the highest rock for as far as you can see
