Rode to the top of MT St. Helena this morning, the view over looking Napa/Sonoma/Lake Counties are awesome. Pics do this no justice what so ever. Anyhow the road climbs 1500' and is all uphill for 5mi. Started before sunrise this morning and then headed to work. Awesome way to begin my friday

My eyes might be fooling me, but I swear that looks to be more than 1500 feet. It looks like 1900-2000. May be its the valley that's throwing me off.

The Highway 29 pass over MT St Helena is around 2500' and you leave from there. The peak is around 4,000' Basically you are on the highest rock for as far as you can see
