found this in the weekend report if anyone is curious:

    Santa Cruz report:

EMT - beautiful (thanks to MBoSC rock work over the winter).
UConn - Springs still draining from the hillside in a few spots, mostly draining off the trail and not down the trail as of this morning. Stay to the high side of the trail to keep things draining. "Looks better than last week" .... :/
UCSC/Wilder fireroads - still draining in spots, some big ruts, soft spots.
UCSC tame singletrack trails - swampy, avoid if possible.
UCSC steep singletrack trails - mixed bag. Very bottom of trails that shall not be named are still a total mess from what I heard. Others drained well, excellent traction. Chainsaw fairies have been out on said singletrack trails.
Wilder singletrack - unknown, probably mixed depending if it heads down to a creek and back up (like most of them do). Expect ruts at best.

    Lower Highway 9 still closed.

MBoSC trailwork on Enchanted loop in Wilder Saturday: "we are going to be working on the Enchanted Loop reroute. The upper section in the meadow turned a bit soupy over the winter as we suspected might happen. To rectify this, we will be armoring a few sections with rock tomorrow. We will also be working on a short re route of the enchanted loop connector."

Also a Girls Rock ride in Wilder on Saturday.

    Demo still officially closed.

I thought that was you and your crew on Empire Grade this afternoon. You look like a pro now, with that fancy bike and all that coordinated gear

We chatted to a group of Girls Rock ambassador riders at Twin Gates. They had started at Ibis and ridden around Wilder. Their bikes all looked clean. A bunch of them were from out of state--they were pretty stoked about the trails!
Friends don't let friends ride e-"bikes" on dirt.

Nature is not a sidewalk (I'm looking at you, MidPen).

I just rode Wilder, mostly fire roads and a bit of meadow single track, mostly in good shape, certainly OK to ride, plus the refurbished Enchanted Loop which was wonderful. However, after some heavy UConn use this weekend, it looked really bad too me ... maybe the damage is done, but if you're local I'd stay off for a while. Aside from mush and ruts etc, folks are going further and further around the mud and its getting wide. I haven't ridden it for over a month and some sections were unrecognizable from my last ride (and I'm local, ride it a lot).
