Now I knew I recognized the truck w the GNARCAL plate and a bike in back. Made me jealous thinking "Someone gets to go ride and I gotta work? Sucks for me."

I could not unseat the bead by any means without risking scratching her fancy carbon wheel. I finally said F it and grabbed a pair of scissors intent on cutting the tire off. That mostly worked but to get the bead cut I had to nip through the nylon fibers with a tiny flathead screwdriver. I got the tire off but succeded in nicking 2 holes in the tubeless tape. Grrrr In goes a tube and 10 more minutes of fighting to get the tire on. Go to pump it up and pfffffff. Yup, tube has a hole in it. You can guess the rest.

Brother, see if you can get a hold of a Park PTS-1. Then dip the ends so you don't gouge the carbon rims. I swear more than once I've used mine to compress a tire while I twist slightly to get the bead to unseat.

Then we rode Auburn. Tried Grizzly for the first time and OMG. The rut is so deep in sure someone will die during the enduro if it is not fixed. I actually walked a couple sections and I don't usually walk much.

Confluence was in excellent condition but there were a lot of hikers. Grizzly made Confluence look like the Folsom Bike Path (paved). LOL The damaged section has been repaired via reroute and looks good.

Today was supposed to be a shuttle day. Jeni forgot to empty the car (Volt) so the ride back up to the truck was cramped to say the least....

Went home for lunch then met friends in Nevada City to shuttle a quick trail and the soil conditions were OMG perfect. Deep loamy goodness.

    The End.
    You are the best!!!

Don't use that tire or tire/rim combo again.

    Weekend Ride Report: March 3-5

So the ride window was Saturday huh? I went to see my kid play baseball at 11-3 pm so the day was shot. Didn't play. Sigh. There's 25 players and only 11 played. Ugggggh. I videotaped all the games though and I'm team video biatch now.

Good team though. We have a couple major leaguers in the making. This one already has the walk down https://youtu.be/GoJ_SF39hTY

Sunday... didn't ride. Trainer... eff you

Indeed! Sucks because she really likes the Trail Boss as a rear tire. I stuck an HRII 3C on the rear as a temp and she really felt the drag when climbing.

+1 for auburn. Got out there early and almost missed all the HS kids. Almost! haha. Conditions were fantastic.

Pretty sure I saw JCwages and friends as I made my way up stagecoach.
