Granted you can't really see the lake too much through the snow.

This on the 54cm Cross-Check? I’d like another test ride on it soon if you don’t mind. I am eagerly looking at the Origin-8 CX700, and need to try the smaller size frame out again (they make a 53cm and a 56cm, yet the geometry is a bit baffling). When you ridin’*next, homie?

Paké C'mute, holmes. I think this will be the final set-up. I've gone back and forth on flats to drops, and there are benefits to both. Drops are great for flat and downhill speed, but never could get use to them on dirt. With a wide flat, you get a little more wind resistance on the flats and downhill - I don't think on a CX course I ever broke 20MPH before having to brake - and that's at, like, Toro Park.
Speaking of brakes, I also upgraded to mini-v's. Since i don't have disc mounts, v-brakes are the next best thing.
I think you'd fit a 56 on the CX700. Did you try 4Crawler's?

We’ve been talking about hooking up sometime on a meetup somewhere along the M.U.T. wherein I could try it out. In return I’d let him try out my 9:zero:7 fatbike.
