Anyone know how the Pleasanton BMX Park holds up after a bit of rain? Doing some work in the East Bay today and was planning to take the DJ w/ me to get in a session this afternoon.
It does not look like the East Bay got too much rain on that map.
I rode there last Saturday; trails were in good shape, with a few wet/muddy spots. We didn't get tons of rain here but, it will make the spots that were wet just a little sloppier. I'm going to ride there tomorrow and you should too.
If anyone gets to Demo this afternoon, give us a report. The Google maps precip map for the past 48 hr says anywhere from 0.04 to 0.39 inches for the nearby gauging stations....0.08 for the closest station.
Wet but still a good ride. Rocks weren't as slimy as yesterday (or so I told myself). If I can say without preachiness: lots of tire tracks veering into the (former) vegetation to avoid puddles. The trail was actually pretty solid under the water. S. Burma sloppy at the bottom.
Norred Trail at STP has some sticky mud right now. Could not proceed past the trail by the canal on the Santa Teresa side. At least the soil isn't the clay kind that turns in to cement - I hope
Just got back from Santa Cruz area... very ridable. Warm and mostly sunny. Some areas were full of perfect, loamy goodness... other shady spots were a little wet.
Wet Pleasanton BMX park
Saw the Fox Raptor in SC... such a sweet truck!
"Truck" and "sweet" in the same sentence. I guess refrigerators and orbital sanders are sort of sexy, too. :skep: I guess I haven't quite reached my mid-life crisis stage yet.
Agreed a few wild flowers, milk maids & shooting stars popping up plus tons of newts, brought a bunch home to try out a homemade fig newton receipe I found on the Internet.
I was strapped for time this morning so I rode Kennedy - it was perfect! But then again, when it Kennedy NOT perfect
