    Toads in Tahoe

Even with the dusting of snow yesterday, Mr Toads is open earlier than ever this year. Heck, I even rode it in January too, which is crazy. Last week the Forest Service cut out dozens of fallen trees blocking the trail, and now we need to help them on the trail tread.

To keep Toads and other Tahoe trails open to everyone it takes a lot of effort, please pitch in for a few hours if you can. If you're following the other mtbr thread about proposed Wilderness area expansion remember that TAMBA is here on your side and this is a direct way to get involved. Also, membership dollars go directly to trail work and access...

Here's the details. Hope to see you out there.

When: Saturday June 9th from 9am to 4pm.
Where: Meet at Toad’s parking lot off of Oneidas St. at 9am and we’ll carpool to the top of Luther Pass from there to ride in 4 miles. If you can’t make it at 9am, then just meet us out on the trail.
Bring: Long sleeves, pants, sturdy boots, gloves, water, and a friend to also pitch in.

Free lunch and snacks will be provided by Yellow Sub and Tahoe Trail Bar. Free post-work BBQ will be at Watta Bike Shop. Fun times guaranteed for all!

Please RSVP: trail@mountainbiketahoe.org or online at Toads Trail Day RSVP | or PM me.

Thanks for coming out! It was a great trail work day and helped make Mr Toads even better. But you can see it's going to take a lot more work to get that trail in really good shape. We'll take you up on more help!

Photos from yesterday from our TAMBA photographer, Dave Clock:

Riding like a champ with a chainsaw on the back, This is the guy you want in charge of trails in the Tahoe Basin for the Forest Service, and luckily he is.
