what are you guys thinking of naming the trail?

I didn't know what to expect when showing up to Tamo on Sunday. I gotta say, I was blown away by what is happening here. What Davey + crew have managed to get going is really special. If you haven't seen it- come see it for yourself. The new flow trail will undoubtedly set a new standard for what a legal trail can be. I'm penciling Saturday in as another dig day.

My guess it would depend on what they find along the way, per the other surrounding trail names.

Totally agreed on the new standard. I'm just a (new) MTBR geek. This is Jim Jacobsons project. Without him it wouldn't be happening. I'm stoked you came out and I am looking forward to seeing you Saturday.

Davey, I can make it Thursday early. Got to coach in the afternoon

This looks pretty awesome. Looks like I'll be making a trip to Fairfax when this is done.

"Flow Trail" or "Fred Trail"
Now all it needs its some nice exposed roots, a bunch of piles of rocks, some off camber exposed sections, some chunk, and a dash of gnar. Does it have to be smooth to flow? Not really.
In all seriousness tho, looks awesome. Good to see trails like this being built, in Marin of all places!

While we are shouting out:
Kevin Smallman has done more work on this project in 3 hours than I could have in 3 months:
ST240 Trail Building Long on Vimeo Video is from another project but Kevin has been running the ST240 and bringing in experienced, motivated and cool volunteers.
Brian Popplewell is a Fairfax local and the reason this project is even happening. So if you see him at Iron Springs buy him a beer.
Jason Van Horn has been a huge contributor and he is a great writer as well. This is my favorite piece of Jason's: The “Secret” Singletrack at Crockett Hills Regional Park SPOT ON. Should be required reading for land managers IMHO
Dylan Renn is our DH expert and he has the most experience with building large features. He is keeping us XC guys in check. This summer when you are feeling some flow up at Tamarancho thank Dylan.
Plus all of the volunteers!!!! Hope to see you all this week.

Davey - no props for Buddy?!? Really?!?
Sorry I missed Sunday but I was feeling full of snot. I'll be there on Saturday before me and BP head to the NICA awards dinner. You guys are doing a great job out there and I'm thrilled to see both the trail and its crew coming together!
