I'm signed up for it, but its looking like i won't finish it.
I won't have enough time to put in the 200ish miles i need to get the cal number high enough based upon their calories-burned-per-mile-fixed-rate-scale-thinger.

But on that note... anyone want to ride to Santa Cruz tomorrow?

After what happened with Rapha at SSCXWC, who would want any association with Rapha? Pretty lame.

I signed up but the fact that it treats road and mountain bike miles the same kills it.

36 calories per mile... Really?? Really?? What trail? I'm sure the fun factor is relatively low. 36 calories per mile...really? Is there a climb on that trail? Well, I'm sure whoever came up with the idea knew what they were doing and what they wanted to achieve... But seriously, this can't be for rel...

agreed. I signed up and thought it would take 2 or 3 nice mountain rides, and instead it's been all road for me. Considering I hate my road bike, we've got to know each other nicely this week.

The whole no-recovery thing is setting in: No motivation to ride today, legs hurt.

I miss my mountain bike haha, almost done though!

Stupid challenge in my opinion, at least in the way it is advertised. It has nothing to do with calories, they should have just made it what it is - a mileage challenge.

Well I finished the challenge today (292mi/7000ft climbing for the week). Time to eat a pie, and as much beer as I can drink!

I didn't finish the challenge using their lame 36 cal/mile rule (4835 by their calculations) , but I did finish it with actual calories burnt!

    Stats for the weekend:

134.4 Miles, 21,803 ft climbed, 9754 calories burned

Nice work Marco! Too bad Strava’s Rapha “challenge” calculations are based on riding a 16 pound roadbike on flat level ground.

YEEEEHHHHAAAAAWWWWWW! I completed my goal. I joined the challenge and am happy to report I didn't even come close! I racked up a whopping total of 1,071 calories burned! I was shooting for 1,070 and had to go over to prove myself worthy. Thanks Rapha!
