Guessing snow might not be an issue Friday as the snow levels may be above the pass. The resorts are probably not gonna be much fun with rain down low and possible wind closures. Early in the week may be the good call for skiing if that's your plan.

I was hoping to take the kiddies sledding, but it's not looking promising. Might be a quick out and back.
Faster is not always better, but it's always more fun

Came home an hour early and found wife with another man squeezed in last ride before the rain - along Stevens Creek to the trailhead of St. Joe's and back. It gets dark quickly.

Demo was empty except for the CDF guy on the ATV and the huge road grader working on Sulphur. First time up Sulphur no one there, second time it was half graded (and I passed the grader while he was stopped), by the third time up they were on the way down with the CDF guy videoing the grading.
4 other vehicles in the parking lot when I left around 1, saw more folks driving in for a last afternoon of riding before the soaker!
The CDF guy said he was going to work on a downed tree on Ridge above the helipad, but I told him there wasn't one. I forgot about the one that's been down for a long time at the top of that short steep hill - anyone in the afternoon notice if that had been worked on?

Took my daughter from school early and went with her for a ride to Arastradero preserve. I guess it will be closed for the season tomorrow.

Tons of rain and debris flying everywhere in Fairfax. I'm kinda loving it. Rode last night and got in some truly hero dirt; it was like velcro. I'm just bummed that all the trail work projects that were supposed to happen this weekend (China Camp, T-rancho, Pogonip) will probably be canceled.

If the wind dies down, I'm taking the 'cross bike out. I'd like to work on some of the trails in STCP, like berm a couple turns for safety (there are two I can think of), but some riders don't like it.

It looks like there will be no rain today in the south bay to sf area. It stopped raining by noon yesterday too. It rained about a half inch yesterday morning.
Sooooo, I would say it would be ok to ride today on trails that drain well. I'd say hit the trail around noon and you'll be fine.

in lafayette we hardly got anything out of storm 1...only .26 inches of rain according to noaa (i love that website!). maybe we'll get hammered by the other storms but so far not much to talk about. the real bummer is that these are 'warm' storms so no real snow up in the sierra either, except very heavy stuff all the way at the top.

Just found this site
Northern California Weather Blog
Looks to be good for Mendo/Shasta/Lassen areas.
Only got 1.5 inches of water in Angwin yesterday.
Should be lots more coming this afternoon/tonight.
Snow levels still a little too high for the southern mountains of the Coast Range.
Only the Yolla Bolly's have snow right now.
National Snow Analyses 3D Interface - NOHRSC - The ultimate source for snow information
Too bad the gate is closed to SYB. It's gonna take some colder storms
to blanket Hull and Snow Mt. with the white stuff.
I like this site
Intellicast - Weather Active Map
for showing where the precip is snow.
Check out the winds just off shore (play with the layer button).

That's just your roof leaking the water it collected yesterday.
