For me it rarely is anything good. Usually it is theme music from Frozen or Trolls from hearing that crap over and over with the kids. I do see it as a form of turture

I always get songs that relate to something on the ride.
On the road bike I ride on Del Mar off Sierra College so I always get the Mother Hips song Del Mar Station stuck.
If I'm on a long ride I get Cool Blue Reason by Cale stuck because of the line "only 8 more hours to go". The rest of the song doesn't make any sense in the context of a ride but still
All out of S**** and down to my last F***

Usually the Dukes of Hazzard theme thanks to one of the Punisher rides iheartbicycles and I did many years ago...he was singing it at the top of his lungs, and it's been stuck in my head when I ride ever since.

I'm the asshole that listens to music when he rides but left my phone at home by accident last weekend so was forced to listen to nature (I really don't know how you guys do it). Anyhow, this was the song that wouldn't leave my head. It was unique in that it wasn't the whole song but rather the first two lines of the song played on a loop.

I'm not sure how this works.

This song. If I was an MMA fighter about to enter the octagon, this is what I would play. Since I can't fight my way out of a paper bag, I rely on mind games.

It varies from ride to ride, mainly Primus, Rush, Pink Floyd, The Who. I don’t need my Sony Walkman™ plugged into my earholes, all those albums were securely uploaded to my brain starting decades ago.

I have vivid memories of being toted around in a baby shit green chevy station wagon when I was a young tot and all the while making my mother rewind tape and play this song over and over. I think my Dad disappeared it.

It depends on the trail. Really fast and gnarly rocky stuff I tend to "sing" Master of Puppets - Metallica.

Most of the time it's been Keep on Swinging - The Rival Suns from this video. Especially when I get steezy like Ryan at time 0:57! Ok so I only do that when crashing but in my head I'm steezin'.

What's wrong with Madonna? She's got stuff for every occasion.

Since there's a Rocky Ridge thread, this is usually what I think of there and if I had bluetooth speakers on my bike it's what I would play .... Threshold bpm and a big "wtf would i want to do this."

Depends on what is in the phone/iPod rotation. Usually some random rock-n-roll or metal with some Beastie Boys mixed in. Almost chose Rush but those albums aren't on the phone.

This was what started out today and is still in my head.

The Violent Femmes have generally been stuck in my head, but Blister in the Sun was there on my Thursday ride for sure!

At the TBF 50 a few weeks ago it was "Shiny" from the Moana soundtrack for me...ahh, fatherhood...
Take a look at and consider "liking" our VAR Facebook and VAR Instagram pages.

Yesterday's ear worms were Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It and Anthrax's I'm the Man. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with me being angry about some advocacy and trail stupidity and singlespeeding?

    Sing it with me!
    ..We're right (yeah)
    We're free (yeah)
    We'll fight (yeah)
    You'll see (yeah)...

Oh yeah! She has a great voice, if you just avert the eyes from the hair and the shoulder pads.
