    Snow ride on Saratoga Gap

Early yesterday morning: snow, at times lots of it:

    <p align="center"><img border="3" height=700 src="http://californication.mtbguru.com/pics/SnowSaratoga/l8.jpg"></p></div>

The sun breaking through made for a pleasant ride. Yes, this is an understatement.
And the slippery roots and rocks made the trail even more interesting.

    <p align="center"><img border="3" width=700 src="http://californication.mtbguru.com/pics/SnowSaratoga/l12.jpg"></p></div>

    <p align="center"><img border="3" height=700 src="http://californication.mtbguru.com/pics/SnowSaratoga/l13.jpg"></p></div>

Unlike Saratoga Gap, Long Ridge on the other side of Skyline was a mudfest (a pretty one though), so I turned around and rode the Gap some more.

How was Skegg's doing in the meantime? Even more snow:

Didn't ride it but I'm sure there was some trail bliss to be found there too.

Great timing. That could be once in a lifetime. Great camera skills too.

Thanks; on sunday morning it seems there was even more snow - my gf went running on the same trails (yes, I still need to do some work to convert her to mtb) and mentioned everything was completely covered...

I sense the FEAR... the fear of what you don't understand-
