    Shops in SF selling 650B

One of my co-workers is interested in getting a 650B (AKA 27.5") full-suspension bike. What shops in, or near SF carry brands that make these bikes, and perhaps stock an XL / 21" bike?

    Thanks,

    Morgan

I work blocks away from Performance and Pacific and neither one carries 650Bs so your friend's choices will be very limited. You may give Roaring Mouse Cycles a try in the Presidio. They carry a few Intense bikes and I know they make 650B bikes (Carbine and Tracer)

    I'd think you'd be steering him towards a 29r....

    Norco and KHS here:

San Francisco - Bike Shop, Womens Bike, Used Bikes | Bicycles for Sale at Pedal Revolution - SF, CA California Bay Area

Bikes - The Spoke Cyclery - Bike Shop in Oakland, CA

Roaring Mouse and Fairfax Cyclery has Intense.

The Rocky Mountain and Scott 650's look good too.
Wait, who did he tell you that?....

3 Ring Cycle in San Anselmo for the Rocky Mountain Altitude (not expected in until Feb though). Trailhead has the Large Intense Tracer and Carbine 650b bikes as demo bikes right now. Going to be really hard to get to touch the Scott Genius 700 but either Tread (Campbell) or Breakaway Bikes (Rohnert Park) can order it. Tread just did a Scott demo weekend before last which would of been the best way to see the Scott. Sprockets in Santa Cruz should have the Norco's in right away.

Pretty sure Phil deals with Norco and KHS didn't know how far away the OP's friend wanted to venture out of the SF zipcode.

Cambria (Santa Rosa) should still be dealing with RM. Of course REI carries Scott, but doubt they'll be offering the 650 on their floor models.

The XCT Dakar 650 is pretty suite! Breakaway handles Jamis, as does Sportsbasement in SF.

    Tread has Scott 650b

Tread in Campbell just received a shipment of Scott Genius 730s and 740s. We should have some built up in the next couple of days.
