I take it the trail is named "Rough Go." I can understand why.

I've never been there, but the trail surface looks a lot like Bidwell. Makes me want to ride Guardian's...

Video posts like this always make me snicker inside, knowing that it's going to be the lamest run in the world. I have to admit that it looks like a pretty good run considering the conditions. Good work.

    Two Knocks

First Knock on a branch right at the start skewed your head at 45 degrees most the ride. Gives that vertigo feeling.

Fortuantately, the second Knock at the end straightened your head right back up. Too late though. The trail and video were at an end.

    Rough Go's a fun ride.
It's not slow, it's doing more MTB time.

eh I enjoyed it. Looks like a road ride compared to the stuff they have in chico though! As much fun as rough go is going down, I find the true challenge being the climb up. There are a few spots I just can't clear without dabbing, but damn that is a fun trail!

Like it or not, those sissy ******bags are loud and vocal and show up to city hall trail planning meetings. If you find a trail closed to MTB'ers, it's likely from them. Respect the rules, keep the privilege of riding...or don't follow them and biatch about it later.

OR, you could just not post videos of you riding on closed trails right?

Trust me, I respect the SH*T out of the rules. I haven't been on a Upper Park trail since October. I know for a fact that I am in the minority. I think it's lame that a dude puts up a cool video and a bunch of wankers decide to bash it and turn it into a big d*ck contest.

No, I just think jackholes who bust on other people over a riding video they put up are wankers.

And the rest of us get to deal with the backlash of those wimpy hikers that you did such a good job of scaring. Nice. A lot of us are trying to repair relaitons with other user groups, you know, smile, say hello, thank them for the right of way when they step off the trail.
Oh well, I guess I can see what at least part of the problem is.
Nice video, good job on the run, your time is respectable as well, but leave the racing for races, or night rides. I booked a sub 3 minute last Wed eve.

Not bad as long as it's not soupy, but I've been riding some areas on the other side of Hwy 12 that seem to drain better. Trails dried out enough last week to go back in the park. Sun all week this week, tacky dirt tacky dirt.
As far as the illegals, I gots me a fat $265 ticket around Labor day. Thanks Bob.

Hit the road wanker, Thunder is coming through on your left!
And the Lightning passed you on your right and you didn't even notice.
Get off your "thunder" horse and stop pretending you're an xgames participant with all the "kill, shred, gnar" lingo.
    OK bra?

    1. You spelled "brah" wrong, anyone who's been to the x-games knows that and they're laughing at you.

    2. the lightning joke was not that good

    3. posting riding videos on the internet is awesome and more people should do it, so quit bagging on the guy for bringing a little stoke to an otherwise boring in the winter forum.

If someone's gonna talk cheese, they should post their own riding video first.

So that I don't violate my own rule, here's one that I'm not quite finished with but whatever:

Solid video - looks like a fun run in the redwoods - that rider is bringing the THUNDER!

Still playing with different video compressions that look good in vimeo. Way back in the day I was a film major in college, but I haven't really touched it since then and definitely haven't ever shot people riding before. It was a learning experience.

I think rule #1 is: Don't wear your rider out. Ben was beat by the time we got to the bottom and it shows.

Now that I've got it figured out, we should be cranking out more with the whole team this season.

Back on topic- more people should get pictures and videos of riding and post them up. Don't let the haters scare you off!

I think more people should take film classes and then make videos.

I don't think the internet needs more poorly edited pictures and movies for me to wade through. I'd lump the new mega-shark movie in there as well, unless it's a lazy afternoon.

Yeah, trail riding would be hard to shoot and edit. You need multiple takes of every 100 yard section. The rider has to be prepared to ride much differently than normal and put in quite a bit of work. I think having one full run with a helmet cam would give you a few more editing options as well and might make it easier. In that case you could maybe just concentrate on shooting the most interesting sections of trail from the ground. Just thinking out loud here.

Totally right. I have a go-pro, but it's not the HD version, still trying to convince the wife to let me buy a new GoPro HD.

Now that is how it is done! I wish more people would boost the ambient sound in their riding videos. The sound of shreddage is music to my ears. This was shot with a DSLR I'm guessing. Picture quality is on point. I want to drift like Iggz when I grow up.
