Riding in Grass Valley/ Nevada City . Where is the manzanita bridge?

Will be riding there on the way to Downieville. Need to check out all the cool new trails and features.
    Thanks in advance.

Ride the trail east along Hwy 20 that starts at the 5 Mile House. Won't be long 'til you get to the Scott's Trail sign. Turn right there and ride all the way to the lake. Cross the roads where you have to--cross markings at the bottom. The trail t's into the Scott's Lakeside Trail. It ends at the dam on the western end of the lake and there are good swimming options along it. The trail is nicely graded to ride back up or you could take the road back to 5MH or Casci Rd to Pioneer Trail.

There are lots of trails in the area and it just depends on where you want to start and how far you want to go. If you just want to ride Scotts you could park in the lot beside Harmony Ridge Market across the hwy from 5 Mile House or you could start from the lake (technically requiring an entry fee). But there are so many options!

Thank you. I plan to be there. Is the manzanita bridge on that trail? Like the monkey bridge is?

Careful how you come out of Scotts. Some friends were riding a few weeks ago, took a wrong fireroad, and ended up with a gun pointed at them. Seems that it was some kind of an agricultural operation...

Unfortunately, The manzanita bridge is on private land. Although, the bridge on Scott's shares alot of the same qualities as the manzanita bridge.

I was really looking forward to seeing it. Is it on private property that is accessible certain times of the year, for example last weeks MTB race on the "Datsun trail”?

Not this place...Most likely, this spot will never be open to the public.

And neither is the "Datsun property". One day a year for the BONC race. That's it.
