Riding bikes, packing a trout rod.. Best place to do this in Lassen/Sisikyou county?

    Hello Peeps!
I have some non-mtbr type friends in town that have bikes in tow, and are heading up to Oregon after passign through. Their plan is to stop off to camp in Lassen/Sisikyou area just south of the CA/OR border.
Someone asked if I knew of good fishing in the area, and yeah, I knew Hat Creek, Eagle Lake, etc. all of which are awesome spots to catch nice trout, but what I don't know is where to ride AND fish.
Does anyone know a specific ride in the far northeast corner of CA that is accessible by mtb and good for fishing.? My knowledge of that particular area is nil when combining these things together in that coner of the state..
If anyone has experienced a campsite, near a trailhead that services a watershed, by all means let me know.. Though it is serious bitterweetness that these guys are talking trout/riding/camping/tripping while I work all day, I'll oblige and help a brudda out.. I suppose..

PS. I know there is another fish/ride thread some-where on mtbr, but I could not find one that applied to this specific area. Thanks!

I have always wondered about the Warner Range and what is possible. or isn't. Haven't camped in that area, only chased trains to date.

Am joining the thread to find out what is available also.

Warner is exactly where I was thinking. I know there is good riding there, and I know there is good fishing so the possibilites are there.
My friends leave tomorrow and are headed for that area on the way to Bend. I'm anxious to see what they find by way of local knowledge and luck.
