Practically giving this road bike away

I bought a Specialized Allez road bike from a friend because he's going to be moving and he's not into biking anymore. It's in great shape (it doesn't fit me) and I would let it go for a song. Anyone know of any up & coming young road riders that could use a sweet road bike to get started in the sport? I'd let it go for a good price if it was a good cause.

I also have a Park work stand that could either complete the ensemble, or could sell separately for dirt cheap.

Not that this means anything for this thread, but when I read it, not logged in to my username, three things were links. Specialized Allez, Park work stand, and sweet road bike. All three links led to and elliptical for sale at Walmart. Must be what the are spending their tax cuts on.

What size and specs on the roadie? I can ask around see if there's any lycra logo types who would like it. (I'm already set).

I can't find the size on the frame anywhere, and I asked my bud and he doesn't remember. He's 5' 10" tho.

After measuring, it looks to be a 52 or 53cm frame. Components are Shimano 105.

The bike belonged to Jim, you've ridden with him at Rockville. He doesn't ride anymore.

Edit: That size seems too small- I'll have to measure again in the morning. Damn, this is hard.

    For someone 5 10 is would likely be a 58cm, maybe a 56.

Jim doesn't ride anymore?!?!? wow. If it's his old red Speci than you are probably right in the measurements it would be a 53cm.

If they're long legged, yep. If they're all torso, very possible that they can be in the 53, particularly if it's one of the older Specialized bikes.

I'm 5'9" and mostly torso. My 2009 Roubaix is a 54 and fits really well. I'm a 53 in Ibis and Niner roadie sizing as well.

Here are a couple of pics. It seems the Park work stand is spoken for.

How can we determine it will fit you so we aren't wasting our time?

    Gare,

Please advise when the Mona Lisa painting that resides on the front porch will be included in this roadie give awa....er uh...I mean "sale" if you will.

I almost drove off your front lawn turning around last time staring at her. Plus...comments from the Carsonator about breast milk and such.
