Pop up bike park at the Fairfax Festival.

Best thing about it: right next to the MHC pony.

Bring your kids down for some fun.

Cruised by the Pop Up Bike Park today, saw 2-8 year olds having a blast! Challenging themselves, learning skills, figuring out balance and flow, it was a really cool scene.....massive respect to anyone and everyone involved with putting this together, it was a great example of how MTB can benefit kids and keep them active and involved in a lifelong sport.

And......only saw 1 kid at the MHC pony ride the whole time. Pretty clear and awesome indicator of what the future holds.

Thanks IrieRider. I have over 150 signed wavers many for more than two kids. Did some great outreach. I'm really, really tired but I think it was worth it. I'll post some photos soon.

Big ups to PVD, Spindelltron and Dylan (not on MTBR)

Oh and what the heck. I'll give myself a pat on the back too (center)

    Hot, worked, dusty.

Those kids were having a blast!

I like the kid that couldn't even ride, he was coasting over the obstacles.

My other favorite was the kid who couldn't get to the top of the big hill. He shoved his bike up to the top, put the bike so it was high centered on top, dragged it over, climbed up the hill, mounted the bike, and rode down.

    All smiles.
