From Folsom Lake on Tuesday the 11th. Was actually a lot darker, the camera app on the phone brightened things up a lot but left the pic rather grainy. The second one was almost a dark sky with a central glow breaking through the clouds, reminding me of the glow on the clouds above Mount Doom in the Lord of the Rings films.
Lots of wins here. We're supposed to get crappy, cloudy weather for the next week. That means it's good for sunsets. If there's a ton of clouds, and the coast is clear so the sun can hit the horizon unobstructed, that is the formula for a good sunset. Catch one.
I drove to SLO at about 3:30pm. After Morgan HIll, the skies became active with unbelievable clouds. It just kept going and going. I thought I left my real camera at home so I took all these shots with the ifone!
Eeked in a ride last Sunday before the beautiful weekend ended. The day before, I found (after having lost it for a year) my old 7mgpxl P&S Olympus - perfect choice to put in the back jersey pocket because it's water resistant.
Dirt, birds of prey, and this on the way down.
