OT: SJ Kraft Brew Winter Ball beer tasting on Dec. 8

Looks like a few of us are going! This event is run by a friend, Louis, who rode that fixed gear up Mt. Hamilton last year.

I will be there along with a few other MTBR's. The band is killer also.

If any others are going we should all hook up.

and for the record Louis also rode his fixie (along with me) fully loaded with food and camping gear from San Jose to Tahoe also.

Featuring a unique selection of beers from one of the best known beer making regions in the world, The Kraftbrew Winterball focuses heavily on Belgian beers, including: Affligem “Noel”, Delirium “Noel, St Bernardus “Christmas Ale”, Bateman’s “Rosey Nosey” and Samichlaus.

American Craft Beer's will have selections from around the country including: Lost Coast “Winterbraun”, Anderson Valley “Winter Solstice”, Port Brewing “Santa’s Little Helper”, Anderson Valley “Wild Turkey Stout”, Lost Abbey “Gift of the Magi”, Napa Smith “Bonfire Imperial Porter”, Telegraph “Ravena Oatmeal Stout”, North Coast “Old Stock”, He’Brew “Jewbelation 16”, Uinta “Anniversary Barley Wine”, Flying Dog “Gonzo Imperial Porter”, Mission “Jasper Extra Pale Ale”, Shmaltz/Terrapin “Reunion 2012” and Shipyard “Double Old Thumper”. The featured assortment of beers will exemplify the wonderful craftsmanship occurring in many small American breweries today.

Naglee Park Garage will provide light appetizers specific to the featured beers. Items include artisan cheeses and meats, charcuterie and fruit platters and other beer-friendly snacks.
