    Old Guys in Monterey/Salinas

Ride alone in Toro/Fort Ord. Probably shouldn't, and am looking for 60yr old guys to ride with.

Why don't you look for a bunch of 22 yo hotties to ride with? Never hurts to ask.
Faster is not always better, but it's always more fun

Careful what you ask for. When I was in my 50's some hard driving guys in their 70's left me behind in Kernville. That was my first and last attempt at social riding :-) I ride alone in Fort Ord but not riding there much :-(

    60 plus riders

Damn old guy's ! They need the air let out of them from time to time ! Some of them live to sneak up on the inexperienced/younger riders and then drop them. Usually on long climbs.

I'm 63 and ride alone but it is important to know your medical condition and skill level. Good to be a bit conservative even if healthy but with the creeping medical situations as you age then riding alone may not be the best idea.

On weekdays I usually ride in the more popular areas so I may see someone about once or twice per hour. That's good enough coverage for me but I don't have heart problems.

I'm not sure about riding weekdays at 105F in Henry Coe State Park though. I used to but uncertain if I will continue with that. I rarely saw anyone all day and cell phone service is marginal and only on some ridge tops.
