NorCal bike clinics?

Conversation while riding local trails of no sandy-note, the wife expressed the following:

1. Whistler (earlier this year) helped her riding (I nudged her onto some blue trails around Lost Lake)
2. An individual training she ahd a couple of years ago
3. And the new bike felt much more natural on the trails.

That said, she followed it up with --

"Is there any local clinic before the Dirt Series? The end of April is too far out."

So, I gotta ask -- anyone have recommendations on skills clinics worth looking into before the Dirt Series? If not, I suspect I will be spending riding time doing some training and trials.

You could probably find something in SoCal earlier but usually the clinics aren't until April or May (BetterRide is usually in April/May) unless Bikeskills.com has something.

i was just digging around online and saw that NORBA champ and hall-o-famer jacquie phelan offers guidance in the form of either private lessons or in her clinics. i was thinking about recommending a few ladies i know to get involved in that.
