New Year's day hangover ride thread. List 'em up!
Surprised this hasn't already been posted, but who's got rides going? The weather looks like it's cooperating- woohoo!
I hear Big Boulder is having one up in Auburn- 10 am at Overlook Park.
I'd like to have one at Hogan. Meet at Acorn East day use parking area at 9:30, ready to ride at 10. For info on how to get there, see my website (or pics) below. Bring beer.

How many miles of trail are there at Hogan? From the map it looks like about 5 one way, but I'm not sure if the map encompasses everything.

Thanx FP
Yep, 10am at overlook park in Auburn
What is a "healing vibe"???

I’m probably going to go for a singletrack ride with my wife and kids, assuming I can get their bratty butts out there.

Steve, how much poaching is going to happen? Just wondering if it's something I can do.

Yeah, there are more trails than shown on the map I've posted. It's like Rockville; small smount of space, infinite number of miles. You'll be tired at the end, I guarntee it.

I would like to hit hogan but will be up in Sacramento with the family. Road ride on the American River trail.
Good new beginning Gary and did a bit of work on the lower section but broke a saw. Explored a bit more too.

Yep ... New years day ride !
Everyone's so sick of Kennedy now so we need something completely different ! I say we hit someplace far from the Top o the hill / Kennedy trail potty/glove depository ... and ... Hit Priest rock ... up power pole to El Sombroso on an out and back for a nice clean 3k ft. gain ride to start the year off right? Alma bridge road area start ?
You became weak loafing around in that big girly gear! -Soares

Family friendly ride 1/1/13 12:00pm
Planning on a family ride from Felton to Pogonip and back.
Daughter got a sweet new ride and she needs to break it in.
Here's the route starting from Safeway on Graham Hill rd.
Felton to Santa Cruz via the Roaring Camp Railroad at Bikely.com
We'll jump across hyw 9 and climb up into the Pogonip trails.
Both the wife and my older daughter are not in the best biking shape so this will be a slow SLOW pace.
All are welcome to join if you want.

I'm doing a loop starting at the ST side of STCP over to Quicksilver, loop through QS, back across the valley, through STCP.

It'll be a game time decision... After spending $500 on beer/liquor/wine/port no commitment whatsoever... In fact already two beers in as of now.

Any truth to the rumor that American River Trail is under water? Inquiring minds want to know.......

I might.. might. get out of the garage and ride out to Hellen Putnam and back in the morning.
I dont drink. but have over indulged in eating the past week. and it might be sub 30degs.
It's going to be tough getting back in the saddle.
Gonna have to wait and see in the morning.
