Why? There's about 86 ads here, the site is slow, ipad browsing sucks, a bunch of crap started popping up on my iphone the few times I tried checking out the site from there, so that's out. Why push users for clickthroughs to generate ad stats? It's a turnoff...

Get over it, this site is free to browse, I have learned so much about bikes on this website, not to mention, trails, repairs, riding skills. If an ad is asking for 5 bucks to help build a new trail and you may win an IBIS by donating, come on man. Stop looking at so much porn and maybe your I pad won't be so slow, and spend 99 cents to get tapatalk for your Iphone, there are no ads on it

What happened to the rest of your hate-filled message??

I still say support then On the Flow campaign. Like many others, we are just doing what we can to rally and support this worthy, worthy cause.

Because maybe someday you will ride this trail.

Also, not sure this can be classified as an ad...I don't think anyone is getting rich off a bike raffle.

Hey why the sour attitude. FYI, Francis has been really generous for allowing this non-profit 'ad' for a group of volunteers working to build more trails for the NorCal mountain biking community. His intentions are philanthropic not commercial.

You can redeem yourself by supporting this fund raiser and helping us build this super sweet flow trail Own the Flow | Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBOSC).

Thank you Francis and K-Max for this excellent ad and your generosity in donating your time and valuable screen space.

While I'm at it: Thank you to Scot Nicol and Ibis Cycles not only for donating the prize and working with FOX, Easton and Shimano to get them on board but also for working so hard to promote the raffle. In all my years of doing mtb advocacy I have never worked with anyone in the bike industry so committed to the cause of getting more legal trails for mountain bikes.

I realized no one wanted to hear my opinion on internet advertising and edited my post some, but I have to chalk up my original post to e-Tourettes syndrome. It was uncalled for and I apologize, I misunderstood the content of the post.

I reacted without even knowing the content of the ad, and saw the post as "We have yet another advertiser we fit into another spot on the site, click on it." Sorry guys, my bad...

Awesome! Thank you for supporting the trail!

I'll be at the Trail Head Cyclery at Santa Theresa today and can discuss details about the flow trail and other MBoSC projects.

I rode the Ripley today at the Trail Head Demo in STP (which was awesome in it's own right). The Ripley is hands down has to be the sickest ride I've ever been on. I love my Tallboy and on the fire road climbs the Ripley has nothing on the Tallboy. The Rocky Ridge climb however is a completely different story. Every time I expect to stall out and pop the front end up in the air, or just bounce backwards the Ripley just ate it up like it wasn't there. Same with the down hill. Crazy fast and agile.

All that said, it's a sweet bike (Any one want to buy a used Tallboy?), but you only have 2 more days to get in on the raffle for things thing. Deadline is midnight on the 30th. You can always donate to MBOSC (consider MBOSC membership, because it helps them influence more land managers), but the 30th is the deadline to donate AND win a sweet trail AND win a kick butt bike all in one shot.

I recently received a $400 ticket from midpenn for trying to get some exercise after work when it just so happened to be dark. apparently public land "closes" when the sun goes down. I am going to court to get this reduced to $100 and giving the rest of the money to the construction effort for this fine trail at soquel demo forest so I dont have to deal with those pricks at midpenn anymore. suck it midpenn!
