Mtbr Waterdog Trailwork day
Ok, it is here. There's a new trail that needs to be finished. There's al lot of ruts, a lot of bush, and whole lot of opportunity.
We have several dates available in the near future. Tell me what you're game for and we'll set a date.
You'll get mtbr swag but that's not the point. It's time to put up!
The Schedule:
SAT 2/2
SUN 2/17
SUN 3/3
SAT 3/23
Work starts at 9am and runs at least four hours. The leader is the great Kevin Sullivan.
-

Ok, fine, I'm going to do some work. Just pick a date already.
-
You had me at "a lot of bush".
I'll vote for any of the three later dates.
-
Does "a lot of bush" include copious amount of poison oak?
I do not remember too fondly a few days about ten years ago when I was digging trail - and had to get out several bushes of this wonderful plant out. I was not a happy camper for a little while, despite taking a tecnu bath..
In any case, I would vote for March. What trail is that?

I'll attend, figure i owe the trails since i am local...I need to make nice with mother earth

Waterdog generally does have a lot of PO but when I last rode around the new Lake Loop trail, there was none to be seen. Probably safe.
If the chosen date works, count me in. I've been wanting to help out with this trail for a while but none of the dates ever work.

I'd love to make it down to help out, 2/17 and 3/23 should work for me, any plans for riding before or after? If I can make it, I'll be sure to fill my Russian River and Beltane growlers before heading down

Either March or 2/17.
Should we set up a poll?

Any details on where in Waterdog? Anything you can share on what is planned? thx

I think the lake trail is a nice addition, but I'd break out some serious donation time and money if we could build a flow trail like they are doing up in Marin. Could that ever be a possibility?

I think it's a possibility because Belmont is the most mountain bike friendly city in the Peninsula.
But... let's do our time first. Let's do our part and make get this trail dialed now and throughout the year.

I'm down for the 17th and/or March.

We need more responses so we can wrap this up and set some dates.

OK We will be at the Dam tomorrow at 9am for those that can make it. We will be working on the Loop Trail tomorrow. Depending on rain, we may work on existing trails on other days listed on the schedule.
Since there has been a range of responses, I'd love to focus on getting MTBR folks out there on March 23. That will give us time to promote it and make sure there is a good work plan to take advantage of the labor.
Thanks all
Kevin Sullivan (Mr. Dogwater) get it?

Thank you for all of your hardwork building the lake trail. I was at the dog today and I noticed the new bridge is finished. That is a great addition and now you can ride all the way around without stopping.
Thank you all.!!!!
