MTB Rehab This Morning in Briones...

i've been quiet of late. between getting some stuff done at work for year end and unfortunately having to deal with recent family health issues, i hadn't been on a bike in at least 3 weeks until this morning in briones. i finally got part of a morning free and did about 90 minutes on the ridges in briones. it wasn't pretty riding, and it wasn't pretty out, but it felt great to get back on the bike again. i have a lot of work to do to get back in some semblance of shape but hopefully with more mtb rehab i can get back where i was in terms of fitness.

Man, I always want to go to Briones whenever I'm back in the East Bay for family things. You've made me want to just go out there.

    That's a great feeling, isn't it? Congrats, C5.

Heard a rider went down in Briones this morning - airlifted out. Any info?

i hadn't heard about a rider down, hope everyone is ok..big injuries are rare in briones given the type of riding, but i guess you can have a bad fall anywhere (as i have experienced).

A bike ride helps everything. Glad you were able to get out.

One of my HS Team riders. I wasn't there but I heard he separated his shoulder.
There are no stupid questions but there are A LOT of inquisitive idiots.

Ah, thanks for clarifying Dan. Not fun, but glad it wasn't more serious than that.

it was pretty darn bumpy and rutted up there. i could see someone falling pretty easily in these conditions even though the trails aren't very difficult generally. hope he/she is ok.
