Mountain Biking In Olema/Point Reyes Station Area

Heading out for some Oysters with high hopes of doing some riding in the area. Any suggestions?!

My wife did read about two trails but all the reviews of them were very outdated, has anyone ridden the Olema Valley or Bolinas Ridge Trail in the past year?! Are they in good shape, easy to find. We will be camping in Olema and would prefer a ride from there but would be willing to drive if there is easy parking at the trailhead. Looking for intermediate single track some rocks/technical stuff okay just prefer not to be limited to fire roads.

    Thanks!

I rode Bolinas ridge a few months ago. It was in good shape. Lots of fun. You can do it as an out and back or as part of a loop.
Bo Ridge trail is not difficult. A signicant climb to start, then rollers along the ridge line. Mostly trail/fire road, but I would not call it single track.
We did a loop that hit some rocky, techy trails. Let me look for the GPS track.

Short climb on road up to trailhead out of Olema on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. It's as Brewtality described, basically doubletrack but a great scenic ride on coastal ridge terrain thru meadows, grassy bluffs and redwoods. Or out and back to Wild Cat Beach from 5 Brooks Stables which is a short ride down Hwy 1 towards Bolinas.

As far as your single track fix, you can drive back out SFD Blvd to Fairfax and hit Tamarancho for a loop or 2, or just 1 plus play on the new Flo Skills Trail. Buy your $5 day pass at Fairfax Cycles and park in their lot to head out on the short street route up to the trailhead on Iron Springs.
Wait, who did he tell you that?....

Strava for the loop I rode. Three sections of pavement. The only way to get rid of that is some super steep hike a bike.

Majority of these trails are off-limits to bikes except Verrrrry steep fire roads.
All good ST is for horseys or hikers only.
    TOTAL BS!
A pristine bike free of dirt, scratches, and wear marks makes me sort of sad
