    Mission Peak PSA

Rode yesterday with a couple guys. The single track in the middle was widened and flattened to 4' - 5' wide with a mini dozer and it's covered with a good amount of loose dirt. Go easy on the downhill.

The park district has been busy putting a bunch of barbed wire as well, including some on the upper switchback where there used to be a fun super short trail to cut the switchback.

Rode this for the first time this Saturday and noted fresh grading in many places, on the upper fire road portions as well as where you note above. Deep, soft dirt with loose rocks made it even more work going up than just the ridiculous heat we were bracing ourselves for. Kind of sketchy going back down. Fair warning, indeed.

I did the bayareatrails gpx version of it. Worst boring riding in the bay, tons of sun exposure, ugly, and crowded. I blame facebook, there were 50+ people on the peak.

Quick update. Apparently, Panorama and part of YSC have been Swecoed. The district is taking care of all the various bootlegs around the park. Apparently, the giant scar above the restrooms will be fenced off as well in 2014.
