Missing person reported last seen in Annadel
I just got this this evening from a friend on FB.
Forward:
My brother Jason Kyles has been missing since Friday morning. They found his truck at Annandale State Park in Sonoma County. They found the clothes he was wearing a few hours ago and have search and rescue dogs searching now. He was last seen about 2 miles into the Lawndale trail in Annandale state park at 5:15PM Saturday. We are BEGGING for people to please come here and help us search for him. Wear clothes that you can hike in and a jacket. It is well known for mountain bikers but difficult trails so please pass onto any mountain bikers. PLEASE HELP US. We plan to start on the trails at 7 am tomorrow morning, or if you can't come until later call one of the cell phone numbers below, cells work in park, but can be spotty. Search and rescue has been searching with 50-100 trained volunteers since sunday and will continue searching today and tomorrow, but without any new leads will call off official search tomorrow evening. So if you can't come tomorrow please come Wednesday if we haven't found him because at that point we will be on our own to mobilize a search. We will post updates. WE NEED HELP PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO ANYONE THAT WOULD BE WILLING TO SEACH FOR HIM. PLEASE POST THIS ON YOUR FACEBOOK WALL.
Our phone numbers are:
916-340-5242
916-320-5431
916-757-4866
916-425-8621
Thank you. — at Annadel State Park

Hello - we know Jason and just found out about this late yesterday. My husband joined the search today. I posted the Press Democrat article to my FB page earlier today but did not include his name or any contact info for the family, nor a picture, because I don't want to include those details unless his family, specifically including his wife, have agreed to have them released. I would be happy to share the above text as a status if that is the desire of the family and if they are still looking for more civilian searchers to aid in the effort. Or, I can just share the Press democrat story from today and say they are still asking for help. We care about Jason a lot and really really really hope he is found, and found safe. So even if I don't share specific details further please let your family know how much we care - Lisa

Yesterday search crews found foot prints and a bottom print, the dogs alerted that is was his scent. So they are continuing the search today with the spot as a new focus point. They are still asking for any and all civilian volunteers, friends, mountain bikers, anyone. If people want to go they can meet up at the main park entrance off Channel Drive and get directions from there as to areas that still need to be searched. It is unknown whether the official search effort will continue tomorrow or not. Thanks for asking.

Can we keep bumping this please? The official Search and Rescue effort in the park has been called off but he has not been found. There is a possible sighting from outside the park, but it is not fully confirmed at this point. So anyone who is going to be in the park, PLEASE keep your eyes open, please check in if you see his family onsite and find out which areas have not been intensively searched. It seems possible that his last location in the park was at the Lake. Also I am trying to get the flyer to distribute - if any of you would consider distributing the flyer in your community that would be very very helpful at this point. Thank you all.

New info just in - the sighting outside the park that was thought to possibly be Jason has been ruled out, they found the person it was not him. Which takes the focus back into what is known of his movements in the park unless other info comes out that he made it outside the park boundary.
Searchers (family, friends, and community at this point) have reviewed the information on his movements, and today are focusing on this area: From Lake Ilsanjo, South then South-East towards Mount Bennet, all across that section, then continuing past the mountain towards Ledson Marsh and surrounding areas.
That would include portions of the following trails in the described area:
From the Lake - Canyon Trail, Marc\sh Trail, Ridge Trail (near Mt Bennet), continue towards Marsh - then Pig Flat Trail and more of Ridge trail.
Anyone going out today, tomorrow . . . . please please if you can help look for Jason. I'm going to try to get my hands on the flyer too, I believe his family still has copies on-site. Thank you all.

There was a report of a man that could have been him last friday up around the Spring lake area. The man was wearing clothing that didn't quite fit right and a baseball cap pulled low, and he seemed to be trying to avoid letting people see his face. Right now we just don't know if it was actually him or not. Searchers will be out again this weekend from SAR - not sure yet if that is just tomorrow or both days. Yes please if you or anyone else goes out, keep your eyes open for him . . . . we just have no way of knowing if he has survived somehow and found clothes and shelter or not. Thanks for any help.
