    Mendocino

How are the trails in Mendo and surrounding areas doing after this rainy winter? Planning a trip prior to CES and wanted to see if trails are rideable.

My buddy who lives in Mendocino said the trails were really wet, lots of downed trees...I'm heading over there myself, at the end of the month.

    Charlie,

Right now things are beginning to dry out. We've been gravel grinding now for two weeks with some incursions onto a few selected trails. Trails that can be ridden with not too much worries are:

    1-All of Confusion Hill
    2-Gas tank
    3-Manly Gulch
    4-Steam Donkey
    5-Big Tree
    6-Parallel Action
    7-Topper
    8-Wagon trail
    9-Jackaroo trail
10-Big River Trail to bottom of High Chutes (Closed to Woodlands from there)
    11-Motorcycle
    12-Rd 630
    13-Forest History
    14-Cookhouse
    15-Miracle Mile
    16-One Way
    17-Roads 720, 700, 409, 408
    18-Boiler
    19-Ames Lodge
    20-Pole Line
    21-Rusty's
    22-ONo!
23-Gas Cap rode it today - Great shape!

    Trails to Avoid are:

    1-Rd 760
    2-Ride Thru Tree
    3-Gunslinger
4-Marsh Creek south end is closed to massive tree damage.
    5-Parallel Trail at the Scales.
    6-Rd 508
7-Widow Maker - Major slide has closed the trail
    8-Orchard - bridge is out
    9-High Chutes
    10-Dry Dock
11-Shithole -but it's always sh*tty (great if you love Sh*tty!)
    12-Endo
    13- Charlie Bell

    Just to name a few.

Griz come on up too. Get Herman out for a ride!

We're A Trump Free Zone up here. So, all you Liberals and Progressives (A Safe Haven for thinkers) are safe on our trails!

Rain in the forecast...I'm delaying my trip. It might be the beginning of April?

Griz give it another two weeks. Lots of stuff slow to dry out. Parallel Tr. has a few bogs (Rd 500 option suggested). Horses using it currently. Not pretty! It's still really wet everywhere. We got into a septic like substance out on Charlie Bell. If you know where the pig farm is, then you know where we were close to. Something wicked out of Stephen King This Way Comes... smell. I thought twice about leaving my shoes behind after the ride...
